I graduated Stanford University with a degree in American Studies and earned my Master’s degree from Reed College. In addition to working in admissions at Oberlin College, Skidmore College, and Vassar College, I have also consulted as a college advisor at Portland Waldorf School (Oregon) and St. Ignatius College Prep (Cleveland, Ohio) and volunteered at College Horizons, a counseling program for Native American youth. My speaking engagements include The Multnomah Athletic Club, Lincoln High School (Oregon), National Charity League, and Camp Aranutiq (New Hampshire). Since 2001 I have enjoyed worked primarily with individuals and their families.

I am the co-author of Follow Your Interests to Find the Right College which has been featured in Forbes, and was recommended in a starred review by School Library Journal.
